World Leader in Advanced ILS Antennas

Stakeholders

There remains no good reason for current levels of limitations and constraints to continue to be imposed upon aviation stakeholders as Watts Antenna Company’s Advanced ILS Antennas have been proven to mitigate the root causes for instituting these constraints and unlike satellite based landing solutions, they have no reliability issues. Therefore continuance of current levels of constraints is no longer a matter of necessity but rather a matter of choice. We believe that all stakeholders should be made aware of that. See Further Explanation Below…

A Windfall For Every Stakeholder Group With Watts Antenna Company’s Advanced ILS Antennas

Revenue losses due to the Covid 19 pandemic and aftermath within the aviation community are astronomical and affect all stakeholder groups. Fortunately, in our industry, projected increases in growth and demand for aviation, though delayed, remain very promising and should provide financial opportunities and benefits for all stakeholder groups. It is vitally important however that in the meantime, we use our financial resources to gain the most advantages. One of the simplest, most cost effective yet overlooked modernization improvements an airport can make is to replace operationally antiquated ILS antennas with Advanced ILS Antenna Systems. The advantages are incalculable by reason of the rippling benefits and effects they have on nearly all airside and landside airport operations as well as community development.

Watts Antenna Company’s Advanced ILS Antenna Systems are serving at sites throughout the NAS and in countries around the world. We have recently had one of our Model 106 End-Fire Glide Slope Antenna System commissioned at Miami International Airport in the fall of 2020 to free up room for an additional taxiway. Had there been a reliable GNSS solution they would not have chosen our system.

The facts are that Advanced ILS Antennas are known to be reliable whereas GNSS solutions are not. Advanced ILS Antennas are available now whereas reports indicate that a equally reliable GNSS landing solution, though promised to be around the corner for more than 20 years is off the horizon and may be replaced with something new. Can your airport afford to wait?

Today’s reality is that many proposed improvements for aviation modernization are delayed, over budget, vulnerable to both intentional and unintentional disruptions and have fallen short of expectations with no favorable remedy in sight.  Meanwhile, the incalculable costs of lost opportunities to all stakeholders continue as available solutions to persistent challenges limiting aviation modernization and growth, are largely overlooked. That is…until now!

Watts Antenna Company is announcing the availability of our GP series Advanced ILS Glide Slope Antenna Systems (successfully flight tested in Zurich, Switzerland in 2006) featuring asymmetric beam steering capabilities that reduce ILS Critical Areas thereby allowing for many more construction opportunities both inside and outside of airport boundaries, many of which previously had been disallowed. When combined with our Super-wide Aperture Model 201 ILS Localizer Antenna (first commissioned in Geneva, Switzerland in 2005), the entire airport community takes on the characteristics of a highly efficient and credible modern day Aerotropolis. We can’t imagine why anyone would not want the world’s most advanced ILS Antenna Systems to be employed to reduce current constraints and limitations before going any further with developments, regardless of the scope and size of projects in and around their airport community. As more stakeholders begin to comprehend the overarching effects and implications of continuing to utilizing standard economy grade ILS antennas, even as a backup for satellite based landing systems, they will come to the realization that no one can expect the performance levels that we all want without upgrading to high performance equipment. It should also be understood that no one can expect increased safety, efficiency and opportunities without replacing standard ILS antennas that limit them with advanced antennas which increase them.

As increasingly more stakeholders begin to comprehend these facts and examine the loss of opportunity costs they are needlessly incurring, then we can collectively encourage changes that benefit aviation’s many stakeholder groups, among whom the flying public is chief.
